What is OnGuard?
OnGuard is a security solution that protects your access to Nantucket Bank's secure banking website by providing strong authentication.

How Does OnGuard Work?
When you first enroll for OnGuard, you will be requested to select personal security questions and provide answers for each question. Every time you logon to our secure site, OnGuard analyzes the way you are currently accessing our site. OnGuard compares this with information stored from your previous logons, analyzing more than 15 different parameters for each access. If OnGuard determines your curret access method is different, for example you are logging on from a new computer for the frist time, you will be challenged to answer a question. OnGuard will also challenge you at periodic intervals.

Is participation required, and how and when can I sign up?
Participation is required. However, during the initial enrollment period, previous Online Banking customers will be allowed to skip the OnGuard enrollment a few times. If you skip enrollment, OnGuard will not be able to provide you with access protection. We recommend that you enroll for OnGuard protection as soon as possible.

When will OnGuard challenge my account access?
At logon, OnGuard compares the way you are currently accessing the site against your previous logons. OnGuard will compare over 15 distinct characteristics of your access, differences will activate OnGuard to challenge you to answer one of the personal questions you set up for yourself. Also, at specific intervals, OnGuard will challenge you if you have not been challenged recently.

What are the benefits of OnGuard?
OnGuard helps protect access to your account by providing strong authentication with minimal inconvenience to you. You are not required to install any special software, or use any special hardware. In fact, for most logons, you will need to do nothing more than just enter your Nantucket Bank User ID and password as usual, while OnGuard invisibly protects your access behind the scenes.
