BILL PAY ONLINE
How Does It Work?
Any bill you pay in the United States, from the person who cuts your grass to credit cards, can be paid online. You create your own payee list online, and then select when and how much you want to pay. Set up recurring fixed-amount payments, pay bills individually at your own convenience or schedule payments for a later date.

Many vendors are paid electronically, but those not set up to receive this type of payment are mailed checks by the Bill Pay service. The checks show your name, address and account number. You can also include an invoice number.

Some payees are set up to send eBills making it easier to make payments. An email is sent notifying you when an eBill has arrived in your Bill Pay account.

Funds are deducted the first business day after you initiate paying the bill, from the checking account you select, and a detailed record of all bills paid appears on the monthly statement mailed to you, on your Online Banking statement, and in your Bill Pay records.

You can set up one or more of your checking accounts to be used to pay your bills. Simply select the account you want to pay a particular bill when you're making the payment.

Bills paid electronically usually take two days to reach the vendor, and bills requiring checks to be sent take an average of 5 days, but can take longer.

Nantucket Bank’s FREE Bill Pay Service is a secure and efficient way to pay your bills. Everything you enter is encrypted and transmitted to the bank in a secure environment.
