| Nantucket's Walk for Breast Cancer The 2007 five mile walk on Nantucket to raise money for breast cancer was held on Sunday, October 14, 2007 with 200 people walking. Over $40,000 has been raised so far with $3,000 coming from Nantucket Bank's Bodacious Bankers who raised money and walked. The Making Strides contributions strengthen lifesaving American Cancer Society research, education, patient service, and advocacy programs to defeat breast cancer. If it hasn't already, breast cancer will touch you or someone you know. The disease will strike more than 200,000 times this year and claim 40,000 lives. Contributions (even small ones) are welcome year-round and can be dropped off at any Nantucket Bank office or mailed to Nantucket Bank, PO Box 988, Nantucket, MA 02554.
