| Nantucket's Walk for Breast Cancer On October 19, 2008 a five mile walk was held on Nantucket to raise money for breast cancer. Nantucket Bank sponsored a team and raised money along with other Nantucket organizations. The Making Strides contributions strengthen lifesaving American Cancer Society research, education, patient service, and advocacy programs to defeat breast cancer. If it hasn't already, breast cancer will touch you or someone you know. The disease will strike more than 200,000 times this year and claim 40,000 lives. Contributions (even small ones) are welcome year-round and can be dropped off at any Nantucket Bank office or mailed to Nantucket Bank, PO Box 988, Nantucket, MA 02554.
