Community Hero Spotlight: Courtney Bridges

Each year Nantucket Bank asks members of the community to nominate local individuals and organizations that have had major impacts on their communities. The top 12 heroes are selected by a committee and featured in the following year’s Community Hero Calendar.

MEET COURTNEY BRIDGES

September 2017 Community Hero

Courtney Bridges is entering her second year as executive director of Small Friends on Nantucket, a full-time, year-round, early education center. Courtney is extremely active in the Nantucket community and, in addition to her work at Small Friends, is co-owner of the Handlebar Café and Nantucket Bike Tours. Courtney also serves on the Advisory Board of the Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Courtney always has a smile and an encouraging word for any and all and loves supporting local businesses and the many nonprofits on Nantucket.

 

Each Community Hero is awarded $1,000 toward a charity of their choice. Courtney will be sending her $1,000 donation from the Blue Hills Bank Charitable Foundation to the Small Friends on Nantucket.
